SOlgar Omega 3-6-9 contains a specially formulated Omega ratio of 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids, to support the normal functioning of the heart, brain and vision.
Specifically, it offers a higher proportion of Omega-3 oils, made from fish and flax, complemented with the high quality Omega-6 from burlap oil and linseed oil, as well as Omega-9 in the form of oleic acid, also from linseed oil. The fish oil used is molecularly distilled to remove mercury, PCBs and other heavy metals pollutants, thereby ensuring the purity and safety of the product.
These essential fatty acids are necessary in multiple functions of the organism, supporting daily well-being. As our bodies cannot produce them, we need to receive sufficient amount through nutrition & appropriate food supplements.
Omega 3 consist of EPA (Hexapentanoic Acid) and DHA (Docohexanoic Acid) and are usually found in fatty fish, such as sardines, mackerel and salmon. They also include ALA (Alpha-linolenic Acid), which the fish naturally converts to the useful EPA and DHA, but our bodies can only convert small quantities.
