SOLOGAR Astaxanthin 5 mg contains Astaxanthin, a type of carotenoid, derived from Haematococcus Pluvialis (Freshwater algae).
It is a natural pigment found in many foods. Specifically, carotenes exist mainly in fruits & vegetables, with beta-carotene found in those with dark orange or green color. In addition, Astaxanthin gives an intense red-orange color to lobster, salmon and certain algae.
As some diets do not include a range of fruits and vegetables, it is useful to recruit a supplement to achieve adequate levels of carotenoids.
