Step 1: Clean and dry the affected area. If you have a wound, cover it with a patch or gauze. Tie the bandage with one hand and place the outer side of the bandage on the skin. This will allow you to unwrap the bandage on the skin with greater control. Step 2: Unwrap the bandage sufficiently long before you start wrapping it around the skin so that the bandage is loose. Rotate the first time without pressure. Step 3: Continue folding in circles which overlap only partially. Apply the bandage with such pressure to achieve the desired level of support. Remember to unwrap sufficient length of the bandage roll so that it does not wrap too tightly, so that you avoid circulatory problems. If numbness and tingling occur, remove the bandage and apply it again not so tight. If pain persists, seek medical advice. Step 4: Cut the bandage. Step 5: Press the edge of the bandage to stabilize it without applying pressure.
